Create Your First Campaign

Step-by-step instructions for creating, reviewing, and sending your first email campaign in FlowNurture.

This guide walks you through sending your first campaign — a one-time email to a group of contacts.

Before you start

  • Your sender email must be verified (Settings → Sender)
  • You need at least one contact in your workspace

Step 1: Create the campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns
  2. Click New Campaign
  3. Enter a name (internal reference — recipients won't see this)
  4. Enter a subject line

Step 2: Build the email

Use the visual email editor to build your content. You can add:

  • Text blocks
  • Headings
  • Buttons with links
  • Images
  • Dividers and spacers

Keep the first email simple — a short message with one clear call-to-action.

Step 3: Select your audience

Choose who receives the campaign:

  • A segment — contacts matching specific rules
  • All contacts — your full list (not recommended for large lists)

Start small

For your first campaign, send to a small segment or a test group. This lets you verify deliverability and content before sending broadly.

Step 4: Review

Before sending, check:

  • Subject line is clear and not misleading
  • Email content is complete with no placeholder text
  • Links and CTAs work correctly
  • Recipient count looks right
  • Sender email is verified

Step 5: Send

Click Send to deliver immediately. The campaign status changes to SENDING, then SENT when delivery is complete.

After sending

Go to the campaign detail page to see:

  • Total recipients
  • Open and click rates
  • Failed deliveries

If open rates are lower than expected, review your subject line and sender name. If deliverability is an issue, check your sender setup and consider custom domain sending (Starter+).
